(SAN ANTONIO) -The San Antonio Athenians continued their hot scoring streak in a 3-0 win on the road in Cibolo against SA Runners. Jillian Martinez opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a left-footed rocket from outside the box. Fellow James Maddison HS Alum Sierra Wannamaker grabbed her team-best 5th goal of the season in the 45th minute with a header from an Emma Bates assist. Jade Piper added the 3rd goal after coming off the bench in the second half on an assist from Bri Woodall, who marked her first game with the Athenians since 2019 with a great assist. The win propels San Antonio into first place in the UWS Southwest conference, ahead of FC Austin Elite on goal difference. The team has scored 17 and conceded 0 goals over the 3 game winning streak.
