The NPSL is a challenging 4th division league in the US soccer tier. Some clubs have made it several rounds into the US Open Cup from NPSL going toe to toe with professional clubs in higher leagues. The Corinthians FC of San Antonio have shown the pedigree having faced San Antonio FC in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup back in 2016.
This year’s edition of Corinthians FC of San Antonio has been top notch, playing high quality soccer against excellent opponents. The Lone Star Conference is full of legacy teams that historically play well: Irving FC, Laredo Heat and Denton Diablos.
So far Corinthians have remained undefeated in NPSL play through nine matches with three to go. Corinthians sit on top of the Lone Star Conference table with a 7-0-2 record, seven points clear of second place FC Brownsville. Corinthians were victorious at home over FC Brownsville 3-1 on Wednesday night.

Corinthians have some familiar names and are player to watch out for this season; Midfielder Norberto Lira Pena (OLLU), Striker Wilmar Aguilar (UIW/L.E.E), and Striker Francisco Segura (UIW/L.E.E) to name a few. According to NPSL stats, Corinthians’ Striker Juan Enrique Peleran is tied for second in the South region with six goals.
The Corinthians have one more home match left in the regular season. They face CF10 Houston FC next Wednesday 22nd at San Antonio Christian School. 19202 Redland Road, San Antonio. Corinthians finish out the season on the road versus FC Brownsville on July 2nd and at Laredo Heat on July 6th.
