High School Soccer: Girls Bi-District Playoff Preview

Girls High Soccer in the San Antonio area has been exciting and high flying all season long. Lots of great District match ups and lots of quality teams, play and athletes stepping up. Some good teams were left out of the playoff because the level of play in the 210 has increased so much. Smithson Valley Girls went on a tear, finishing undefeated in District play and finishing 21-1-0 overall. Both Clark and Reagan battled it out for district with Clark edging our the Rattlers for the District title. In District 29-6A, Brennan and O’Connor also went down to the wire, both finishing 19-2-2, as Brennan won District by a single game over O’Connor.

In the 5A Realm, Dripping Springs maintained their 2021 UIL 5A State Championship form by going perfect in the regular season, 17-0-0 overall, and look to repeat as State Champs. Jefferson edged out Edison in District 27-5A and Southwest Girls are looking like contenders for a State run winning District 28 and Medina Valley impressed as well as runner up.

4A girls soccer, Wimberly were District champs in 26-4A and San Antonio Davenport finished a strong third in district. Uvalde won District 27-4A with a perfect 14-0-0 in district play.

Bi-District round begins March 24th and runs through March 26th. Best of luck to all the teams!
