Copa Tejas Round 4: El Paso v Austin Bold

Under a colorful Hill Country sunset El Paso Locomotive and Austin Bold kicked off Round 5 of the 2021 Copa Tejas. The Locomotive were looking to take the lead in their second match and the Bold were looking to get a fast start on points in their first match of the competition.

The match was scoreless in the first half and the deadlock was broken in the 56th minute when 17 year old Diego Luna scored a header from the back post to give El Paso the lead. It was Luna’s first goal in four appearance for the rookie. The goal was assist by Macauley King on a cross from the right side. It was all El Paso needed to get by Austin Bold and now have 6 points in the Copa Tejas.

Round 5 of Copa Tejas will take place down the Rio Grande Valley as Austin Bold faces RGVFC Toros at HEB Park in Edinburgh on June 16th, 2021.
