Top 20: San Antonio HS Girls Soccer Players

The 2020 San Antonio High School Soccer season has been something special, even with the stoppage of play, we have already crowned three state champions: Central Catholic and TMI Episcopal won TAPPS boys state titles in Div I and Div II; John Paul II (Schertz) won the TAPPS Div III State Title while San Antonio Christian were TAPPS State runner ups for the girls.

When the season was put on hold, San Antonio had several more schools in the running for a state title. The second half of district was underway and bi-districts were quickly looming. Lots of great schools are still in the running for the UIL playoffs and there are a lot of talented young women playing, elevating the game in San Antonio.

We wanted to recognize the Top 20 young women playing soccer in the San Antonio area. They come from all levels and districts, both private and public schools. It was not an easy task as some that did not make the list are worthy but we had to stop somewhere, originally this was going to be a Top 10 list but the talent is just too great to leave it at ten.

The top 20 were selected from over 50 San Antonio High School Girls Soccer Players through nominations and suggestions from coaches, players, family and friends. Each one was closely considered and evaluated. We also compiled and did research from stats provided by open source websites available.
