TMI Episcopal Pathers boys high school soccer team, which is the reigning TAPPS Division II State champs, is off to a great start, Head Coach Oscar Munoz have them currently at 12-2-1 and are facing San Antonio Christian who are 9-3-0 in what will be a great match up and rivalry game on January 21st at 7PM.
TMI Episcopal currently have three players in the top ten scoring list for points in Texas. Leading to much of the success for the Panther’s this season.
Joseph Kuri: Midfielder, Senior
Kuri is ranked 7th in the state in points. The Senior has 13 Goals and 18 Assists in 12 games. Best single game stats this season were 4 goals versus Holy Cross and 4 Assists versus Antonian Prep.
Diego Ampudia: Midfielder/GK, Senior
Ampudia is ranked 5th in the state in points. Listed as both goalkeeper and midfielder has had much success at midfield. The Senior has 20 goals and 10 assists this season. He has played in 13 games and scored in 12, single game high was 4 goals versus St. Andrews and 3 assists versus Hyde Park.
Patricio Parra: Striker; Junior
Parra leads the entire state of Texas in points for boys soccer. Has played in 15 games and scored in 13. Leads the state in Goals with 35 and has 8 assists on top of that. Scored three or more goals six times this season. Season high in goals was was five. done twice this season. One versus Hyde Park and the other against St. Anthony. Still a junior, has become a player which should be some colleges and maybe a few professional clubs radars.
TMI Episcopal are currently number 1 ranked in TAPPS Division II, ranked third in overall TAPPS, ranked sixth in San Antonio; 42nd in the state of Texas and 259th nationally.
