We spoke with Athenians Defensive back Michelle Hogan “I’m excited to play this Saturday at Bold Stadium. It’ll be my first time playing in a professional stadium and will be a cool experience with a great atmosphere.”

Athenians owner Pete Veras said in a statement exclusive to Soy_SAF. “We’ve got two days of fantastic soccer ahead of us this weekend. We look forward to playing our rival and good friends FC Austin Elite this Saturday. For both clubs to have the opportunity to play in a great venue like Bold Stadium is always good for the growth of our respective clubs and league. We want to see a packed stadium and put on an exciting match for the fans.
With a national league playoff spot up for grabs we expect an intense, highly competitive match. Of course, our plan is to come home with a victory then wake up Sunday morning for our free Women’s World Cup Final watch party at Santikos Cibolo. It’s going to be a fun filled Sunday, but first, #BusinessTrip in Austin. Thank you for your continued support.”
