We are down to the final few teams in each conference for the boys and girls high school soccer UIL playoffs. All matches for the Regional semi-finals and finals will be played this weekend, with the semi-finals taking place on April 12th and the Regional Final on April 13th. We’ll cover the San Antonio area schools still in the tournament, full playoffs brackets can be found at:

Boys Conference 4A Region 4
Canyon Lake (17-5-2) v Gonzales (22-1-1)- April 12th at 4:00 PM
Location: McAllen Veterans Memorial
Last round: Canyon Lake defeated Eastside Memorial on penalties. Match ended in a 4-4 tie. Canyon Lake won on penalties 5-4.
Canyon Lake and Gonzales have faced each other once this year back in January, which ended 1-1 after regulation and Gonzales won on penalties 4-3.
Winner of this one face the winner of Taylor v Progreso.
Boys Conference 5A Region 4
Southwest (18-7-1) v Valley View (16-13-0) – April 12th at 12:00 PM
Location: Cabaniss Soccer Field, Corpus Christi
Last round: Southwest HS Dragons were winners over McCullum Knights (Austin) 2-0.
Southwest holds a 6-0-0 record on neutral sites.
Winner of this one face the winner of Tivy (Kerrville) v Veterans Memorial (Brownsville).
Boys Conference 6A Region 4
Alexander (23-7-7) v Lee (24-2-1) – April 12th at 2:00 PM
Location: Brownsville Sports Park
Last round: The Volunteers won over Lake Travis 4-1 at Comalander Stadium.
Lee and Alexander (Laredo) have one common opponent this season, United Soccer. Lee won 2-0 and Alexander split the 2 meetings with a 2-1 loss and a 3-2 win.
Winner of this one faces the winner of Reagan v Hanna.
Hanna (15-7-3) v Reagan (15-8-2) – April 12th at 4:00 PM
Location: Brownsville Sports Park
Last Round: The Rattlers were victorious over inter-city rival Johnson 2-0.
The Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville) and Reagan faced each other in a non-conference match back in January that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Winner of this one face the winner of Alexander v Lee.
Girls Conference 4A Region 4
Pleasanton (20-8-1) v Wimberley (23-3-2) – April 12th at 12:00 PM
Location: McAllen Veterans Memorial
Last Round: The Eagles were winners over the London Pirates (Corpus Christi) 2-1.
Pleasanton and Wimberley have faced each other head to head three times this season with Wimberley winning all three meetings.
Winner of this one faces the winner of Liberty Hill v Jones.
Girls Conference 5A Region 4
Alamo Heights (23-2-2) v Victoria East (18-6-3) – April 12th at 4:30 PM
Location: Cabaniss Stadium, Corpus Christi
Last Round: Alamo Heights won over in a inter-city match versus Southwest Dragons 2-1
Alamo Heights and Victoria East have faced one common opponent this season, Tivy. Both schools are undefeated against Tivy.
Winner of this one face the winner of Dripping Springs v Gregory-Portland.
